We’ve set aside a block of 20 rooms for guests traveling from out of state. To ensure everyone coming from afar has a place to stay, we kindly ask our local family and friends to refrain from booking within the hotel block. The Southern Hotel was established in 1907, as a spiritual retreat, in the quaint town of Covington, Louisiana. Prior to reopening in 2014, the Southern was lovingly and elegantly restored. Now, affectionately known as "Covington's Living Room", it is once again a beloved gathering place. A family-owned business, the Southern Hotel is committed to elevating the art of hospitality by providing guests with an experience that is rooted in the past, connected to the community around it, and celebrating the beauty and the heritage of the South.
